This is about right, we can consider this game the foreplay to Liverpool. Both equally important though.

Who do Liverpool play?

I would also play stones I am not sure over who, a bit harsh to give him an extended absence.

Chelsea are away to Bournemouth, Arsenal have West Brom at home, Spurs play Southampton away, United have Sunderland at OT and Liverpool play Stoke at Anfield.

He's famously not a master at playing the press, the German media disliked him greatly, and in Spain he conceded he'd never win in the press conferences.

The press have been highlighting it for at least 2 months, I hardly think you can say he stopped it before the press went too far either, it's been the first comment in every article and conversation about us in every paper and TV show for weeks.
Well I just did say it. And the press would have yet again highlighted it but he stopped it.

Just saying he's canny he's aware of the press and the mood they can create with the fans.

This will be a digging in sort of game, they hit the post 3 times in their last game so they do carry a threat, back 4 again please, muck about with in the FA Cup game

i'd like the same setup as the Arsenal game, Fernandinho back in for Fernando and Sagna in for Zaba.

Nolito and Nacho can wait in the wings. However with the Liverpool game on the horizon and Pep's fondness for rotation, i think we'll see a changed side.

Stones will be back in I think, Kolarov back to LB. Fernandinho back in too of course. Hope Iheanacho gets some minutes as well, missed his chance to get a run in the team with Kun out.

I think noli will be needed as they will be a bit shall we say agricultural

Who have Hull got after us? and in the FA cup? They have a tiny squad - with any luck they will concentrate on the games after us.

Although the players have a week to recover, Pep will rotate from yesterday
So I'll predict

Bravo
Sagna Otto Stones Kolorov
Fernando - Toure
Navas Silva Nolito
Ineanacho

However if all our squad is fit, I'd like to see us start the same eleven as yesterday
why why why would anyone leave out de bruyne and sterling. People really overrate out squad players.

Must win game this

yeah, i think there'll be a few changes, but i personally would go for the 3 pts with the same setup (with 2 changes) and then make the players play through the wall for liverpool. there'll have to be a lot of squad management here though i know.

perhaps youre right Nolito does suit this unless he gets himself sent off again :)

Got to be the same side, get 3 points in the bag and go into the Liverpool game with 3 wins under our belt. We can afford to lose at Klanfield but not at Hull.

Dinho will play
Bravo
Sagna Stones Otamendi Kolarov
Fernando
Fernandinho Silva
Sterling De Bruyne Nolito
Willy tosin clichy tour navas sane kelechi

Dinho back for this , would be tempted to give Merlin a rest and let Dinho or yaya play further forward with Fernando holding , Merlin would benefit from a rest he's getting on a bit we need him fresh for the Mourners

Fernando and Kolarov are one yellow card away from a suspension so i'd bring in Fernandinho and Stones. Keep as many options available for the key game against Liverpool. Sagna in for the injured Zabaleta. Keep the rest the same as yesterday. If circumstances in the game allow, try to throw Garcia some minutes and keep Yaya as fresh as possible.

I would be surprised if Ihaenacho doesn't start, assuming he's fit. I don't think that this is the sort of game where Pep will go with a false 9. I would expect Kelechi to get behind their centre backs a few times. It seems the ideal game to bring him back.

The first part of the Xmas schedule doesn't seem that bad. Sunday-Monday week-Saturday is a decent gap between games. Its the Burnley game which will be the one where fatigue sets in. It will be interesting to see if Pep plays more or less the same team for Hull and Liverpool and then makes a number of changes for the Burnley game. Or, perhaps brings in Nolito, Navas, Stones just for the Hull game. One thing is for certain, his selection for the Hull game will be influenced in part by his thinking on what sort of team he wants to select against Burnley.

Definitely agree with this. Fernando and Kolarov are not exactly the best players in the world, but we still need them to be available for selection in such a big match.
