He isn't the problem despite being out of position... He'd be better playing centrally with SWP on the right. I'd swap Barry for SWP and let NDJ hold centrally on his own.

FFS everyone on this forum seems to think it is solely about working hard - we have been poor due to a static midfield

We had a few chances in that half but didn't really control the midfield at all. Our best bit of play was fashioning the chance for Bridge. It was an example of good use of the ball in an advanced area and possession further up the pitch. Too often we go backwards and then end up booting it up field. Barry and De Jong are a bit one paced and Ireland hasn't got into the game as I hoped he would.
In the second half I'd like to see SWP and/or Johnson to add a better threat on the wings. I'd take Barry off.
Nothin wrong with Ades run to the near post. Was just a shite cross from Bellamy who has been poor for quite a while now.
And it's just too early to decide whether Ade and Tevez can work. It'd help if the midfield was closer to them so that they wouldn't need to drift deep or out wide so much. Long balls are no help to either of them.
