Hull v City Pre Match Thread

While I appreciate the importance of rotation, especially when we have such impressive depth within our squad enabling us to keep players fresh and sharp, I do hope changes are not made for the sake of it (so to speak) exposing us to a potential slip up against a so-called lesser club, with all due respect to Hull. All the teams that people have predicted on this thread should be strong enough to take 3 points away from Hull, but if you start rotating the keepers and changing the centre backs from game to game I just think we're leaving ourselves open to a balls up.

Obviously the coaching staff and management will be well aware of who will benefit from more game time and who may need to sit games out during this busy period, but every game in the Premier League is vital so a little continuity at this stage in key areas is preferable for me.

no fucking around please pellers! gotta start winning premier league matches, roma is next week so lets worry about that after this game.

hart
zab
vinny
quim
clichy
Fernando (think he`s fit now?)
fernandinho
yaya
silva
jovetic
Sergio

players can be taken off IF we get a decent lead! lets try and get the game won early and then take off vinny, dave etc!

I'm more than happy for Willy to start. Get the impression that he still hasn't quite settled in and is still at that dangerous phase for a keeper where he wants to impress and show what he's made of.

Wednesday would have done him some good in that regard and another ninety minutes here will hopefully help further.

Don't understand why we would leave Hart out though ? It doesn't have any benefits in doing so for me. He's right up there with the top keepers in the league, is confident and in decent form, is not in a position where he needs a break, so we have to go with our strongest side, all factors in mind, and he is part of that.

Pellegrini himself said that Caballero will get couple of games in a row possibly, and he is not waiting for Hart to make a mistake. Caballero will get his opportunity regardless of Hart's form other than in League Cup.

Yes I believe Pellegrini said that but it doesn't make sense to me to leave out such a key player who is in form for the sake of just giving someone else a game in a possibly difficult away Premiership fixture. I'm not doubting Caballero is a good enough keeper to step up but an unnecessary risk for me.

I just want to see a better first half perfomance...
Milner and Navas playing better than Silva and Nasri at this moment so

Hart
Zaba-Kompany-Mangala-Clichy
Navas-Toure-Fernadinho-Milner
Aguero-Dzeko

Silva put in a man of the match performance against these last season against 10 men didn't he?

More of the same please.

Caballero will get the nod for this game with one eye on the Roma game on Tuesday. The rest will be as strong as possible.

Not really too bothered about what the team is, we've got more than enough to win this game.

Hart

Zaba
VK
Mangala
Clichy

Fernandinho
Yaya
Navas
Silva

Dzeko
Aguero

Would be unusual to rotate keepers. It's not like Hart will get tired. Mqybe complacent in the past

This has to be a wind up - why would anyone in their right mind not pick silva lol.

Silva 7 aps 559 mins 1goal 0 assists
Milner 6 aps 330 mins 0 goals 2 assists
Navas 7 aps 423 mins 1 goal 4 assists

That s why !!!
