we do seem to have an inability to keep our cool though, that's potentially (if the FA decide to punish us) 3 equivalents to a red card in 4 days.

I think the London and Scouse media will push for those 2 to get 3 or 4 game bans to derail us to ensure their favourites get the title.

We can't give them these opportunities, we have to grow up and behave and rise above it. We have to be flawless on and off the pitch at all times, because the status quo want to derail us at every possible turn, and we make it easy for them sometimes.

No Hart or Vinnie for Arsenal and Rags would be a hammer blow.
I'll be surprised if Joe gets any ban; neither manager has made a big issue of it, and Joe was severely provoked by Boyd spitting at him. Vinnie though; he could well be looking at a further game ban if he did indeed gesture at the fourth official. Surprised and disappointed in him if that turns out to be the case. Whatever grievance he may have justifiably felt about the red card, you just can't go making gestures at the match officials. We slag off Rooney for effing and blinding at refs during games, so we can't really be hypocritical when our captain acts inappropriately.

We do have a few hotheads in our team. You can understand them getting the hump with such shit refereeing most weeks, but they are only damaging the teams chances running up to refs, screaming in their faces or constantly banging the ball down and moaning as Ya Ya does a lot.

Boyd has been reported to the FA for spitting at Joe, which should take some of the heat of him.

Big Vin will be ok, he is held in good regard by those at high level, he will get a one gamer. They will view the initial (missed) foul on him as contributory. I hope....

Just got home from the game so not got time to read 33 pages!!

Thank goodness he took Ya Ya off because he was a passenger. What is it about him? He can be so good and then so poor!!

But what a game, they were magnificent, the team spirit was brilliant. Demichelis more than made up for his errors over the last weeks and he and Garcia justified their selection today.

Don't think Vinnie should have been sent off, it happened right in front of where I was sitting and it was all wrong!! As for that Hull player spitting or attempting to spit at Joe that should be sorted by the FA.

David Silva and Zaba Men of the Match. Lescott played well when he came on as well.

Thought Ya Ya's missed passes got us into trouble sometimes today. MP took him off at the right time in hindsight. It's a minor criticism of a very gritty team performance though. You're bob on about MDM, who cleared when in doubt and didn't do much wrong. Even his shots on goal were far enough over to let everyone get back in defence. Joe gave us the "come on" fist as he ran off for half time. If he butted that spitting gypo in the second half? Good on yer. Agreed on Silva and Zaba, but honorary shout for Nasri who tracked back when Zaba went forward. Clichy was top banana as well. Lee Mason played to form, but a good day despite his best.

which means Joe's reaction will be more likely to be looked at rather than just letting Boyd off and saving Joe from any punishment.

Edin must have got out of breath shaking hands.
Delighted with his goal though.
Looked like he worked hard considering he was up front on his own. Probably can't see that on the telly though.

I think Vinnie, in particular, thrives on adrenaline. Sometimes it makes him lose it defensively but then again you get a real Captains performance like the goal he scored against the scum at ours back in 2012. That kind of attitude is why he is Captain.
He is a winner and that's why the high percentage of the games we win are when he plays.

So we have Chelsea going down to nine men,one of the tackles absolutely horrendous and with one aim only,to injure the opposition player.Their players and manager losing the plot, the manager sent off, then slagging the referee, losing a game they should be winning......yet it is US who make the bad headlines????

Headlines for fuck all,Kompany dealt with by being sent off and Hart booked for going head to head, again dealt with with a yellow card.No agenda by the biased media C****????

fantastic performance from the boys today there are many many plus points that come from it -the top one for me being that the team ethic was brilliant - it looks like they have put the last week totally behind them and are totally focused winning the league.

Chelsea getting beat was an absolute bonus too!!

Boyd's spit was after the "heads" - it didn't provoke Joe. The dive did that. My voice is still sore from shouting cheat at Mason.

And I'm still at Hull trying to get out of the car park.

I know - Simple though, don't buy the Mail and don't even look at the online version as they use traffic on the site to gain advertising.
