Hungary v England | Nations League | Sat 4th June '22

Sterling has just proved by not playing who has been the most influential England player like forever. A-A useless when taken out of comfort of Scouse, Mount just continuing shit England career, Reece-James turns into jam when playing for England, Saka still plays on merit of three runs he made against ...whoever, Rice makes Rodri looking worth £1/2 billion at least, 'the Skipper' who gave up winning anything since he had started playing football for some personal records, but it all starts and stops with that footballing philistine of a manager who even dares starting back three against Hungary...and those back three!!!
Bobby Manc might be looking for another job in the not too distant future he'd be a great replacement for this knob head.

It was a meaningless game, just get the players through it and then they can all have a well earned break

It was Jules Breach presenting, who has done BT score for about 3 years? Brighton fan and very knowledgeble about the game.

Might tune into the germany game if the standards of presenters are not the usual shite like lineker and humphries then.

Obviously they need to bin off michael owen, but keep Breach and Somers
Jules Breach is indeed spot on when she does BT’s equivalent of Soccer Saturday. She let herself down banging on about Southgate’s attire.

Owen is a boring ****. They should’ve gone for somebody new.

Somers unfortunately came across as a bit thick.

I had high hopes for channel 4 but didn’t realise it would be the same production company. They nailed Italian football in the 90’s but probably the worst production of England games since channel 5 in the late 90’s.

Vacancy: The England Football Association seek a manager of their men’s team. We offer a hugely competitive salary, and a unique opportunity to mould the country’s best footballers into a team that can challenge for honours in international competition. A hefty severance package upon the team’s first disappointing, but totally expected exit from a major international tournament will depend on the ability of the successful candidate bravely to select a team on reputation rather than ability, and to say everything of which BBC Sports editors approve.
Essential Criteria: The England manager will be the public face of the men’s football team, and will need to be a snivelling, media-savvy lickspittle, with a proven track record in saying exactly what is required at any given moment.
Desirable Criteria: An ability to lead a team of elite-level coaches would be nice, but given that most (maybe just some) of the players will get elite-level coaching at their contracted clubs - albeit to different, maybe even directly conflicting systems of play - this really should not deter the ambitious media-savvy Establishment lickspittle. A coaching career unblemished by failure at any level would be nice too, so the less you’ve done in the game at this level, the better, probably.
