Looks like my trip to New Orleans in a couple of weeks might be at risk.
I knew a guy who lived in the area around Biloxi when Katrina hit. He told me a story of swimming through water teeming with snakes to rescue his wife's wedding ring. Chilled me to the bone.
Good luck to y'all.
My mate lives in Galveston and he's just been doing Facebook live from his balcony, saying there's a lot of fear mongering as it's fairly calm. Still early days isn't it?

I guess he means the media saying how bad it's going to be.What does he mean fear mongering?
I'd rather face the storm than drink Bud.We survived tropical storm Andrea in 2013 does that count, 10 bottles of bud around the pool closed that villa up tight and woke up in the morning with a lot of puddles and palm leaves about.

Any port or beer in a storm you're too picky.I'd rather face the storm than drink Bud.
