For those of you who are in Florida, leave. This is far bigger than anything you, or Florida has experienced before. Hurrican Andrew hit in 92, this is 4 times larger and Andrews path didn't run up the entire state. Irma is a very different beast and I can tell you already that the name Hurricane Irma will be retired after this storm. I've just looked where you both are near Tampa, and yes you don't look to sustain a direct hit and encounter the eye wall st this time. But Irma is a very fast changing and developing storm, and every time a model comes out something changes with her. I expect her to actually strengthen further before making landfall around Key Largo in the early hours of Sunday. The water temps are higher than usual at around 31c which will fuel this even further. If you can get out, then leave. If you can't, pray.
