Hurricane Orphelia

Out on the pop with eldest son in town later, I'll be miffed if I have to get the cattle wagon (road version) rather than the cattle wagon (tram version).

It's eerily calm here at the top end of the Rossendale valley, which is quite unusual.
However the sky looks ominous and an odd colour.
Expecting strong winds later, no I've not had beans, but nothing major.
same here looking down over manchester from the pennines.
there's a very strange atmosphere and colouring to the skies.
definitely feels like something's brewing.
a few hints of the 50+mph gusts expected this evening.
it's dead warm too.

who doesn't love a good storm!

There is a weird light here in east lothian too. Very calm, but an undercurrent of menace. A bit like going into a pub that you thought was a Celtic pub to watch the game, but realising it's a gers shop, as my son and I did on Saturday. We left at half time having brazened it out but felt it might be wiser to go elsewhere.

Also, my cat is usually out at this time but she is sitting up on her mat on the window sill with a, fuck that, face.
