Tbh I couldn’t give a shit what happens to him , on a massive wage , tidy pension scheme and all the rest of the trappings he gets with his job , he’s not hard up , by all accounts , what has he to worry about, I’ll never wish anyone ill health no matter what , but he’s brought it on himself , he’s been a well paid pervert , paying someone what most earn in a year so he can choke his chicken. He’s a disgrace tbh, being depressed is no excuse for wrongdoing- if that was the case there wouldn’t be a single person in prison coming out with the self pitying shit him or his wife have come out with as an excuse , he knows right from wrong , like the rest of us do. Yeah it got pretty much decimated. I don’t think people realise that, however much more people are criticising the bbc domestically, the world service was one of the few things still with a renowned reputation globally and just how powerful that is/was.

I used to listen to the World Service and Radio 4 regularly from about the age of 30, not tuned in for a good few years now, I’m sure there’s still some good content on but like everything these days the content seems to be politically motivated and dumbed down.

I can’t stand Nick Robinson on R4, he just tried to be a smart arse but isn’t really that bright. I really admired and enjoyed listening to Eddie Mair and Martha Kearney in the past, respected journalists who didn’t intimidate Politicians and got sensible polemics from MP’s as opposed to point scoring cunts like Robinson, he’s a rag twat as well! :-).

You kinda do sound like you give a shit about him. All I'm saying is that no one actually knows the full story of what's happened, yet the noose is being prepared.

As for excuses, hHe has a long and well established history of depression. He's not just made it up this week.

And have you seen any court report in the past decade, every proper crim nowadays turns up to court with an alphabet of excuses, PTSD, ADHD plus the obligatory terrible childhood and 'caring' responsibilities for some old biddy they've not seen in years.

I've read as many articles where its noted that it's a young woman.

You have no idea he didn't know his/her age, you have no idea if any crime took place, you have no idea if it's a man or a woman and you can't understand that a person is considered innocent until proven guilty.

No-one outside of a very small circle of people know what has happened, so until we do, maybe rein in the paedo accusations and the ridiculous comparison to Saville.
