It's worth remembering that not paying him is a big risk if he's not found guilty of anything after the investigation. If that happens and they just fucked him off with no pay then the legal costs/damages that could hit the beeb would make this salary seem like chicken feed
I think the police have said they don’t believe he has broken the law. He is now off sick.
