I am just on the way to Yorkshire

I was born in Oldham, but brought up in a lovely picturesque small town called Doncaster. Live in Australia now, but still love my south Yorkshire roots.

Fond memories of traveling into Yorkshire as a lad for rugby league matches. One coach driver got lost trying to get to Featherstone, went through Wakefield at least twice before he found it. On the way back we'd always stop at the same pub (name forgotten) on the moors somewhere west of Huddersfield; this was before the motorways were built, then there'd just be half an hour till we were back in Lanky.

Haworth at Halloween is spectacular. A few pints and grub in The Fleece, then a stroll up and down Main Street in the dark.

Watch out for Adders ... the place is riddled with em' , and if they feel threatened, they're not particuarly arsed about who or what they bite either!
