Just had another "good morning, I believe you've been involved in a car accident" call.

I thought I'd play along and "yes" was my reply which was followed by a long pause....

"So when were you involved in the car accident"?...... "You tell me seeing as you obviously know I was".... Long pause to hear she put the phone down on me.

Oh well, another number blocked.

If I am bored I will answer them and than tell a story of something along the lines of " I was driving down the M2 at about 3am when a bloody UFO landed right in ........." they normally put the phone down by than !

I haven't had one of these calls for some years now but the last call of this nature was asking me about an accident I had 11 years ago. I was 23 at the time of the call, phone went down when I said I would have been 12 at the time of concern.

As irritating as these might be to you, I'm sure we would prefer to see people in jobs than unemployed.

As a side note, I work in sales and the most irritating trait of people in this country is that no one is straight with you. If you've bought something elsewhere, don't dodge the call, answer and be honest.

I wish every cold calling **** that has rung me, nothing but abject misery ... What I buy and where and anything else they call for, is fuck all to do with anyone, especially privacy invading pricks on the phone ...!
