I can hold my hands up

I don't necessarily expect us to win the league every year, I just want to see us challenge for it every year as I believe our squad is good enough to do. If a team performs better than us over 38 games then fair enough.

The frustrating thing earlier this season was nobody was being consistent so the opportunity was there which at one stage we weren't taking. Thankfully we're putting a run together at just the right time, fingers crossed it continues.

I'll be honest I posted on here a few months ago we wouldn't even make top 4. 30 years following football and I still know nowt about it...
 
There were many on here who said pep was past it. I’m not sure they all believed that nonsense.
 
In fairness being 8 points off the Scousers 6 weeks ago or however many points off the rags on NYD was never an issue for me as we had games in hand on both.
Before the Villa game last week, a rag told me (correctly) that if Villa won their 3 games in hand they would be top.
Not quite worked out that way for them!
 
I was very disillusioned with the team at the start of the season. It was incredibly boring to watch. I felt like a host of players were either not trying hard enough or suffocated by poor tactics. I was wrong which is awesome.

I still don't feel like our attack is sorted. Mahrez is truly awful imo. I'd literally play any player instead of him. And Sterling is extremely frustrating. At the moment we are doing awesome while essentially carrying at least 1 passenger per game.

I still would prefer to replace at least one (Mahrez more so than Sterling).

But I'm happy that there are alternatives in Foden, Torres, KDB in their place. And hopefully Aguero back soon. And hopefully Jesus regaining some confidence - even if just as a workhorse.

And I'm more hopeful than I was that Pep can turn Mahrez and Sterling into something effective before this season end, given the miraculous changes in Gundogan and Stones' form (though it could be completely different circumstances in each players' case).

So I'm a lot more positive about our team - at last it's entertaining to watch again.

Pleased for Stones.ive been having an agument with a a local gobby red ..its bin going on for 4 years now....regarding his playing ability, gobby red says he doesnt know how to defend he is shit,i said he is a classy ball playing centre half going thru a difficult time,he will bounce back.as class always does......looking forward to bumping into gobby red when pubs re open.
