I can't get to the game tonight...

Im worried about the roads around the ground, i have been to the city store today and they have done a sterling job gritting the immediate areas, but where i park, and further afield is shocking.

Saying that, ill still be going, i'll never let my seat go empty.

Yes it is definately going to be a low crowd. It's funny, I have been going for years and never once been offered corporate. 2 day my mate got a phone call from a company he barely knows offering him 3 seats and minutes later his firm, who he never knew had a box, got hold of him. Needless to say for the first time in my life I will be eating and drinking, (mainly drinking) at someone else's expense because he has asked me to go with him. At least I won't have to sit next the usual smelly fan who sits there with his i pod on barely interested and a dozen other miserable third tier tossers around us who won't clap never mind shout/sing/swear/show some enthusiasm. Blimey it's turned into a rant !!!!

I am being a lightweight too, took me 4 hours to get to work at brecon this morning, I'll be lucky to get back in time to see it on the box, nevermind an extra 2\3 hours up to Manc. On the plus side the fat guy I sit next too will have more room with the 2 empty seats next to him.

*wonders if the bloke who usually sits next to me is "hello" *

...because of the bastard weather over the Pennines. Travelling from Leeds as usual and I'm so very frustrated that I can't make it. Looks like a few beers infront of the tele... :'(

I have a mate who works in Leeds and he went on the M62 this morning and will get back home tonight around 6.15pm and he is still going, fair enough he doesn't have to get back to Leeds but if you check the forecast before you set off you should be fine.

Listen fella's, I think this is all a bit unreasonable. I can't make it to ONE game and suddenly your all on my back. Now fair enough, you may think that I'm "a lightweight", but I can assure you I would never miss a game unless it is absolute definite that I can't get there. Now listen, the train station in Leeds is a 15 minute drive from my house in the best of conditions, and getting a cab to the City Centre of Manchester after the game and getting the train back, and then a cab home in Leeds all on a school night for my son and nephews is almost irresponsible behaviour on my part. Most of you clearly don't know the conditions in Leeds today. They are hazardous, worst I've known for years. People are leaving their cars on roads, no buses are running. I had made the decision this morning bearing in mind the safety and well being of myself, my son and my nephew that we would not travel over.

The accusations on this thread of me being a "part timer" are ludicrous, I have explained how dedicated I am to City and you clearly havn't read the post in which I explained it. I hope I have explained myself well enough to you all....

So now we are getting down to it. You're putting the safety of yourself ahead of City and also ahead of getting your lad and nephew to the match. Poor show say I!
