So whilst getting her food ready I would sing 'Daisy, Daisy, the best dog in the land and all the world'. Or something similar.

Do other people do this or something similar? I cannot be alone on this.

My dogs called Daisy and I sing her the exact same song. It can't be weird if more than one person does it :-)

Do you also do 'feed the dog and she will eat'?

As one of our dog's is called Goater, then yes, I often sing Feed The Goat....

For a long time, I have been in the habit of adapting the words of songs and singing them to my dog.

So whilst getting her food ready I would sing 'Daisy, Daisy, the best dog in the land and all the world'. Or something similar.

I have been told this is weird.

I disagree.

I'm Daisy and so is my Wife

So, summarising the thread so far, I asked if changing the words of songs so that they feature the name of my dog and then singing them to her was weird, and a panel including Lavinda Past, Malg, Foetus, ChrisNUFC, AG and Flash agreed that it wasn't at all weird.

I can't say how reassuring that is.
