emailed the club and said this year with all the difficulties don't get me owt and I wont get you owt
My uncle used to call me Blue but I didn't know why. My dog is called Blue and, 48 years later, I know exactly why I named her that. I was born in Moss Side in '68 and hardly remember anything from when I was a kid, beyond my love for City. I never even kicked the ball in my yard without putting my City gear on. If it's in you, it's in you. It's part of the reason why I cannot stand the moaning - support your team, offer constructive criticism where it's due but never, ever call one of our own useless, shite, Plodri or any of the other insults that have recently been offered; they play for US, they are US, and there is nothing like it. I cannot even go near Claremont Road now without literally feeling the walk to the North Stand with my dad or my grandad, passing Arties and smelling the hot dogs and onions. Absolutely, the most vivid sights and smells of my youth.
No issue with constructive criticism. Name calling and insults of our players are not for me - that's what you do to other teams, not your own, IMO.A good post indeed.
But i think its such passion that breeds the moaning in some. When they see a player who they dont believe is giving their best, emotion intervenes and the emotion and insults kick in.
I'm not saying thats the ideal approach.....but it is a reason, and its undertandable to a degree.Football has always been an outlet for the working mans emotion,it's why so many of us are so invested in the game.

i dont wish to hi-jack this thread, i have always found City to be caring about its fans. In the late 80's a family friend and season ticket holder for decades was badly injured in a car crash. I came up to help them run their business for a few months, in that time i went and saw our old family friends who owned the Cake Box on Fog Lane, well one of their daughter knew a few of the City players. The next time i popped over for a brew they had two A4 headed paper with all the first team squad and management with messages and signed to pass on to our friend in hospital. It cheered our friend up big time and he made his missus put it in a frame and hung it up over his hospital bed :)My uncle used to call me Blue but I didn't know why. Part of being a City fan is to have a good old moan
We were brought up on it
But if any Rag or other fan had a pop you would always defend club, player, manager as it was only our right to moan about them
Not for me either,i am just providing some mitigation and reason. Not all fans are as balanced or passive as you.No issue with constructive criticism. Name calling and insults of our players are not for me - that's what you do to other teams, not your own, IMO.
