I Hate The England National Team

It really makes me think the managers of the international team are having their arms twisted.

AJ/Lennon not going AJ doesn't start games and Lennon is crap, both had poor seasons
Sturridge not going again doesnt start enough games
Carroll going been on form lately
Johnson at right back walker injured and richards not started enough games lately
(As much as I hate to admit it) Carrick not going This one makes me laugh the most .. there would be uproar if he went ahead of Barry, Lampard or Gerrard

I didn't mean in place of those three, I meant possibly in place of Parker. Certainly better than the stand by henderson!

Richards not starting enough lately? Gimme a break, he's been the best right back all season.

Lennon may be shite but at least he's got some speed about him which is more than you can say for Downing.

Johnson hasn't started much yes, but he's still got more goals/assists than Downing.

So if we're going by your post, the only people who should be called up for England are players who've played well in the last 5/6 games? The decisions should be based on season long stats. Not "who's played best in the last games of the season?"

It's even worse I would argue for us ex-Pats. We can't exactly get passionate and loud and have a good time about a war in Iraq or Afghanistan to be honest.

Supporting England at tournaments over the past 14 years or so for me has been a great source of pride. Always been a huge let down at the same time. I genuinely want to support Ireland or someone else this time around and that is so terrible to say. It's almost as if you are a right-wing **** to be passionately English these days anyhow :(

I think this is actually more significant than it appears. Also a rise in Scottish/Irish/Welsh Nationalism, and the English backing off because of this.

Stuff like taxi drivers being told to take flags down etc etc

I would/will always support the other home nations, and the RoI, in international football, but it is unusual to recieve reciprocal treatment

You don't have to go that far back to see wembley covered in union flags instead of the St. Georges Cross

Anyway, I will still continue to support England regardless of inept managers and players, in fact, as a city supporter, I believe myself to be quite adept at this...

I will be supporting Ireland and I am disgusted to say so, but I will. Mums side is O'Neill so at least im not just clutching at straws. I cant support the English national team anymore until we get the F.A sorted out, a proper manager we all agree on and confide in, and get rid of all these cunts that we hate on a weekly basis in the Premier League, and wh ohave all been proven to be well below par Internationally.
