Many other people have had to endure such cuts, and a lot worse, for a long time now.

Firemen need to get up to date and realise just what is going on for most of the people who pay their wages.

And stop whining like children who have had their sweets taken away.

I hear this so many times. People saying "I pay your wages" to people who are employed in the public sector.
Come on then clever dick..Just one question. How do you pay any persons wages in the public sector. Such a blinkered ignorant comment. Don't say I pay tax to pay your wages,because you will just show yourself to be a complete and utter twunt. Every person pays tax over a certain amount.
It's like me saying I pay your dole or I pay your child benefit.So come on Urmston,how do you pay my or any public sector employees wages??

The pay rise is NOTHING to do with the government. Pay is now set by an independent body.
Just be grateful we don´t have Red Ed and Ed "I Crashed The Car" Balls anywhere near the levers of power.
This government have pulled us back from the brink and we now have the fastest growing economy in Europe.
We should be thanful and grateful to the Tories for saving the day yet again.

Being a tad sarcastic.

Some bloke who is prepared to run into a burning house to rescue people he doesn't know has my admiration. Same for the nurses who helped me back to health and the teachers who took time out and went to all ends to educate me and my mates. Fucking with their pensions is wrong on all levels.

I don't give a flying fuck for the supermarket checkout girl or bank teller to be honest but I'd like to know that firemen, nurses, teachers and the old bill are paid appropriately.

It's OK to disagree. I just reckon people who have studied hard for years deserve decent recompense if you don't then fair enough.

Being a shop assistant or bar man takes you 20 minutes to master...... being able to teach 35 twatting kids takes a lot longer.

A bar man to be fully fit to be called competent would certainly take more than 20 minutes, however unless you are a teacher you seem to have fallen for the angelic status of our learned profession who work 27 hours a day to impart knowledge on little johnny
