You didn't come across as a ****, what you and SB19 said sounds far more plausible than the OP and I've no reason to doubt you. Personally I've no problem with the club following up and asking for explanations from those involved, it made one of the national rags (some gutter rag or other but read across the country all the same) with 'Bus load of Manchester City fans...' in the headline, we don't need to provide ammo for the media.

To generalise plenty of people in this country are sick to death of this type of behaviour. It is not just prolific within the football community but society at large. I often wonder if the perpertrators will bring up their children to have the same attitude. If so God help us. The future is???

People used to be able to go to games, have a few drinks, stand up, drink, sing and have a smoke without fear of being banned from the ground. Hell, I remember a time when bringing the wrong season ticket to a game didn't result in a three month ban.

If our children are brought up in this sanitised, stagnant, fun starved autocrasy then there is going to be a generation produced who are lacking the fundamentals to make them rounded human beings.
