I Know It’s Over

Even if, by some quirk of fate, it is over, I got to see my team win the treble, win the domestic grand slam, score the record number of goals and get the record number of points. Something no other team's fans in history have ever seen. It has been a privilege..
That is indeed the consolation and currently my coping mechanism.

Last season we achieved virtual football perfection - the Madrid, Dipper and Arse home games. For that, yes you needed the system but also a certain calibre of player - physically, ability wise and mentally. We didn't achieve that in the last disappointing window.
We put Alfa parts into a Mclaran.
We also tinkered with the system with the one half decent purchase.

Last season it was that we didnt have a left back, we needed to ditch Haaland because our style clashed with his. (He'd joined the wrong club apparenty) KDB was past it, Eddie was not a shot stopper and we were suffering from it. We'd thrown away the league by december because we were apparently shite.

Every year its something, so I dont really believe all the crap until come January and Feb. Then we will see. Its all just moaning from no-nowts (Including me recently) panicking and not seeing the bigger picture. We could well be a well oiled machine in a couple of months.

I bow to your superiority.

We will win our next two and suddenly things will look very different going into a nice warm weather break. I was really fucked off after Wednesday night, but now the dust has settled, i really think the players and Pep will respond in these next two games. Arsenal have two very difficult games coming up and i doubt the gap will be 6 points come next weekend.

No fecking way it's over fer Christs sake !
It's early December, months to go yet.

Never knew Johnny had a crystal ball :)

If Rodri is out for more than 10 games we are propper fucked. It's criminal how dependent we are on him.

Was really hoping Pep could come up with something over the last window.

Rodri FC till I die!

I honestly think Pep is keeping something in the tank for the World Club Cup. That's literally one of the hardest trophies you can win as you need to finish top 4 in your domestic league, win the CL and then win against the best team from South America and now even a team from Saudi. Chances to win it are hard to come by and we might never play in it again as you have to win so much to even qualify.

Ultimately, whenever we look a bit lost it's because Peo is getting the players ready for a new system.

I'm not giving up, I've seen us come from 8 points behind with 5(?) games to go against Fergie and even the Aguero goal. Unless we're mathematically out of it, only an utter fool would bet against us. Emerson, Stones, Dias, Ake, Foden, Haaland, KdB, Bernardo, Grealish, Alvarez etc etc have been here before and know what's needed.

COME ON CITY!!

Give over.

Yeah, let's toss off a record breaking fourth title in the row to win a couple of glorified friendlies in Saudi Arabia.

Top thinking, that.

You only have to look at the entitled whining of some Utd / Arse/ Liverpool fans to see that not winning can lead to tantrums. So the novelty can wear off.

But perhaps it’s my age or the fact that we have won so much lately after years of dross that I am not too concerned. Every great team Fergusons , Paisleys etc have an indifferent season (win the next 2 games and things will look a lot better).

It would be ridiculous though great if we kept winning but this is not the French German or Scottish League. Our current biggest challenge happens to be in the courts and not on the pitch.

I do think that our peak has been reached on the pitch with Peps brilliance. As Villa and Newcastle Spurs will find out winning trophies is really difficult. So I am happy to celebrate what we have done for now.
