I know its a draw but....

A LOT of over-reaction on here.

NEITHER team wanted to win that match. Its now got to the point where both teams are good (though on paper our players are better than theirs) and both teams show too much respect and are afraid of losing.

A point was a fair reflection, noone wanted to win and to be honest I dont think it was that bad of a result at all.

The only thing that annoyed me was when the 4 minutes were added, it was the scum who were applying the pressure and not us, when WE are the home team.

All in all, decent result and an average performance, we'll have to do a lot better if we want something at the swamp in the new year mind you!

Come on now, beat the brummies on saturday and all is good!

I would imagine the Newcastle fans were watching their own team tonight. Jesus wept......they barely had a shot 2nd half you freak.
Thats testement to how good City are at defending but there only looked like one team going to win the game in the 2nd half, christ most of the people on here were saying the same thing in the match thread.

So you were reading the match thread instead of watching the game properly.

You were the one that said Silva would be a flop after he had played 2 games.
You know fuck all lad.

What the fuck is wrong with you guys? it was UNITED? not a pub team, They know how to defend and did if pretty well tonight! they played their strongest eleven.
And United playing their strongest 11 isn't an excuse any more; we're as good as them, if not better man for man. I want Mancini in but he desperately needs to take a different approach in these games because the Italian mindset really doesn't work.

the only attacking players on the pitch tonight were silva and tevez (before johnson came on)

you think that's acceptable?

i wouldn't accept that away from home

oh, i don't count milner, he's no johnson.

It's as much about how we play as who plays, and that team tonight are capable of playing much more expansively - the fact that we didn't is down to the coaches/RM.

And don't agree about the attacking players - Milner is a threat (look at his record at Villa) and Yaya (who was shite tonight) can be effective as he was on Sunday.

oh, i'm with you 100% on why/how we didn't win - mancini is inept, i said it a few posts ago

and to be fair, milners record at villa is of no interest to me when we have someone of the quality of johnson on the bench

again, what the fuck is mancini playing at?

Er no i was watching the match but i read the last few pages of the match thread to see how people thought. Oh and i didn't say Silva would be a flop, i think i did say that he wasn't the king of player that people were expecting (many people thought they were getting a Messi type of player).
I think you need to grow up a little, christ what would you of been like if City had lossed tonight?.

Yeah i have dislexia which i have said before and is the reason why grammar and spelling won't be the best in my posts but don't let that get in the way of anything. Are you 12yo or something?.

No question we are as good as them if not better man for man. You have to accept that United have an established side who have played together for a lot longer than City. It will take time for this side to bed in. We are just not as good a team as them yet. At least we have stopped shipping in goals for fun and I am happy with a point against the rags at this stage. Thought the back 4 looked excellent today.

The way we've been playing lately was way too slow going forward, but yet quite fast going backward and it's not even funny. We've spent so much to be so negative on tactics like this. Entertaining? We are far from it. Winning mentality? We are extremely far from it. Boring? We are quite right at the moment.

I'm not trying to be this negative but just so annoying watching our team this season (few games excluded). It seems to me that we do not have any pride left at all, especially playing at home. Com'on CITY, wake up. At least show us some pride to wear our blue shirt.

I'm not so sure whether blaming players or manager but they need to sort it out quick. Yes, we're tough to beat but we are not really winning game too.

Pretty solid in the back but don't know how to really pushing forward or moving the ball quick enough out of our box to midfielders. Once our midfielders received the ball, they are not playing the ball off each other often enough. Another word, not finding space to get the ball back in the open area enough.

Milner is not effective on the wing at all except tracking back to help our defenders.
Tevez is dropping way too deep and most of the time he just looks like a midfielder instead of striker. He needs to realize that he is the striker who should be in or near the box as much as possible so Yaya or Silva can pass the ball to. We should have put Ade in quicker than today or if Mancini doesn't like him just off load him in Jan and get Dzeko in. I could quite understand Mancini's tactic sometimes. I'm not calling his head but he needs to be more positive about the way we play and he should know how to getting forward since he used to be a striker himself. It just weird.

Well, I can go on and on but just very disappointing game after game because I've to admitted on how positive I am when reading our training reports from DH,landad and NMT. They were sound great in the training but look so much different on match day. Our movements are just too normal to break other teams down at this rate.

Show me some passion and be more bravery next time.

CTID & bring on Birmingham

Our team should be: Hart
Boateng, Kolo, Kompany, Koralov (since he seems fit now),
A.Johnson,Yaya, Barry
Silva
Ade, Tevez

The scum were poor at ours at the end of last season and they were poor again tonight.

If we were getting beat and we scored an equaliser in the last minute I might have felt a bit better. However, the point is that the rags were there, on both occasions, for the taking.

Mancini needs to understand that a point against a poor scum side, at OURS, is not what we should be aiming for. It is all well and good saying "that's a point against a top four side" but the fact is that we are better than they are.

We need to start understanding that to win means to not be afraid and pay the opposition far too much respect. We need to have the belief.

Sorry, a POOR rag side? That's absolute nonsense, and you should know it.

I'm slightly disappointed, but for god's sake, we're talking about a team that are above us in the table, unbeaten this season, and have challenged for the past god knows how many seasons.

Get some f**king perspective. This was always going to be a tough game.
