He is talented, and just about the best penalty taker i've ever seen.
I don't care what happens off the field, and even then most of it is either made up or overblown. Half the time he's not even involved like the fire at his house.
But his constant and public bust ups with Mancini on and off the field were the first worrying signs. Mancini is the boss, and Balo has to understand and accept this. Nobody else would have put up with him for so long.
The biggest thing worrying me is that he "meant" to get sent off. A lot of his challenges lately have been reckless, but the last one seemed intentional. He has got some hard yellows, but some have been more than justified. Near the end of the Arsenal game, i had just commented to the wife that Mancini was wrong to leave him on the pitch after his first yellow. He then goes and makes a pointless poor tackle at the wrong end of the pitch. Then the thought occurred to me that he knew we were not going to win, hence fail to challenge for the league. So maybe thought a nice little sending off would leave him free to start his summer holidays early. This is not paranoia, or a conspiracy theory. But he has always put himself first, and didn't hang around after the FA cup win. So what is to say that in his mind he hadn't already planned to pack up early if we were losing in the last few minutes?
I assume even banned, he will have to report for training and attend matches?
Before people get on my back, understand that i don't hate Balo. I think he brings a different edge to City, and i like the fact that every other team/fans hate him. His sending off could have just been down to his own stupidity, but if he fooks off back home any time soon (with some mystery injury that needs an Italian doctor), i will assume i was correct...
