I preferred it when we were sh1t

Personally I think we are lucky we really have been shite and most of us where there to see it and experience it now we are the best team possibly the league has ever seen then that's the absolute opposite to shite not many fans have seen it all that makes us special in my opinion and what makes us blue's a different type of football supporter

I started supporting City when I was 7 during our successful time and have continued while we were shite and now we're the best team in the land I couldn't be prouder. I would never have changed anything in the past because it has got us to where we are now and all the jealous bitter other fans can fuck off, CTID
Me neither, N. I saw my first game about the same age on a wee 7in telly and within a minute of the kick off we were one down. And over the years I've seen some really dreadful stuff that only resembled football in that the team I was watching chased a ball and kicked it with their foot whenever the opposition didn't have it, which tended to be most of the time. But as you say, it's the grim times that make you appreciate more the stuff we have on show currently.

I never ever thought "best team in the land and all the world" would become so true. Its been unreal.

Our peaks and troughs do not compare to the Rags and Dippers , we filled Maine Rd in the third tier of football and we still fill our ground (when possible) now, do you think the Rags would retain their plastic 659m fans in the 2nd Division or the Dippers retain their support , would they f*ck. Their lightweight gloryhunters would just buy another shirt and claim how they are hardcore fans of their new club from their armchairs.
City fans appreciate our success more because we have been in the preverbial gutter with little hope , the Rags and Dippers version of disappointment is finishing outside the top six , no comparsion , and yet they have the temerity to question our loyalty and ability to fill the Etihad , its laughable.

To be honest especially away from home the more successful we have become the more I have seen disagreements between our supporters. I remember going to a game away to Sheff Wed one year and just being thrilled when we won a corner!

Don't think anyone really wants us to go back to being shit. What we all want is our youth back enjoying some serious drinking in Moss Side and Rusholme. Being liked by other fans who were sick to death of the rags and admired our incredible loyalty. The football was shit, but the times were great.
Yep

I think that's what set us apart from other high profile fan bases. We have genuinely suffered , we've been awful whilst our local neighbours rubbed it in our faces for over 20 years. But now the times have changed. We have cemented ourselves as quite possibly the greatest team this country as ever seen., and I Love it
The highly respected, GQ Magazine (23/02/21) has ranked City as the greatest team in Premier League history. City appear 3 times in the top ten.
2017 /18 - "it’s really difficult to argue against this remarkable side".
We are also recognised for "the single most dramatic denouement to a game in Premier League history".
Being the greatest, and this is throughout English top flight history in my view, is definitely better than those times, and it was far from all the time, when we were shit.
Happy to be Blue. I love it too.
