Said it on another thread: If the Board thinks that Pellegrini can't take the team further and we need a fresh face, then they are right to sack Pellegrini. If they think that Pellegrini is the reason why our team is mediocre and a new coach will change our fortunes, then hiring Guardiola will be a futile exercise.
If the reports are true that Guardiola has no plans for an extensive overhaul, then I expect the repeat of this season's or previous season's performance under Guardiola. No coach in this world can bring intensity into this group of players that got hammered by a team, that had Liverpool reject "Poulsen" playing for them.
