I think I found the worst saxophone solo ever recorded.

Just off the back of my post about Dark Side, I think I’m not really a fan of saxophone in rock music at all really. I can think of exceptions, but generally it isn’t something I enjoy listening to.

There’s Baker Street and Will You, already mentioned. Mel Collins on Two Young Lovers on Alchemy, Harden My Heart by Quarterflash come to mind but then I’m struggling. Possibly a few Supertramp tracks. But generally can’t think of many. He was a legendary part of the classic E Street Band line up, but Clarence was never really was a difference-maker to the songs. Maybe Jungleland the only one I can think of, just.

Happy to hear of anything other suggestions. Otherwise I think the joy of sax just isn’t for me.
