I drink on average about 5 cans during my working day and always make sure I've got at least 4 litres of it in the fridge when I'm home. If a period of time has passed without drinking it I'll immediately get the urge to drink some and when I do its similar having a cigarette in that any nervous tension or tingly nerves seems to evaporate.
Is this a thing? Can you actually be addicted to a soft drink? Someone told me it's probably the sweetener that they put in to give the same tast as coke but without all the sugar.
Or maybe I have some deep rooted psychological problem that seems to be quelled or fired up by coke zero.
Maybe I'm just batshit crazy.
You are not crazy, I came across ppl in similar situations, and not necessarily with Diet Coke or Coke Zero, the regular ones as well. Perhaps you already read about that, but below are some links from different sources addressing what you posted.
