A good Chef blends the ingredients he's got to make the best dish and that's what RM is doing at the moment.
I wouldn't say Barry was the best of ingredients but he compliments the other ingredients to make a good dish.
well at present RM has still got some of his ingredients wrong and the taste is somewhat balnd at times......
this is not a dig at barry who as ive said is a solid playerwho does the simple things very well but RM's insistance in playing a midfield containing dejong bary and yaya is not balanced in the correct way playing then with just the one loan forward and silva in between them
silva and tev are just too isolated all the time...
yaya...doesnt get forward quick enough and when he does he is decidedly average. dont get me wrong he is a great player but as an attacking player he lacks what we need
dejong superb holding and defensive midfielder......never going to add to the attacking side of our game (though his distribution of the ball has greatly improved this season)
barry.....got to be the slowest player in the premiership.....does the dirty work well but like dejong he will never add to the attacking side of our game and is too slow at getting forward
milner - never stops running but on the creative side at present he is severly lacking
the leaves silva AJ and tev on their oown usually against 5-6 defending players.....
you could play that midfield combo that RM seems to want to more successfully but with 3 main strikers (a little like chelski do) tev balo and ade/silva/aj as the front 3 would cause more problems than tev silva and aj do
