I was there at Colin Bell's comeback game (loony toon army, boxing day '77). 0-0 at half time. Bell was brought on as a sub for the start of the second half, and I swear to anyone on here, I've never heard Maine Road make a noise like it (even when we scored against the vermin). I was 15, and I shed a tear that day. And we went on to win 4-0 as well!

that was the greatest day of my life ever

I was at that match, but i didnt totally appreciate the significance of the comeback.
all i know was i cried and newcastle never had a prayer.

I was there when we played wimbledon in a midweek game at maine road and there was only like 14 wimbledon fans there lol

I think "f**k off in your taxi" was the chant

Wimbeldon away monday night game, nicked off school for two days with my mate. went down on train stopped in some shady b&b, had man flu was stood in that open end cold wet and windy, spent god knows how much of my mums money, city played proper shite and we got beat 1-0.........

a few for me stick out in my mind my 1st game still remember it like yesterday a little lad sat on the wall at the front of the kippax just in orr of everything it was against newcastle in march 74 won 2-0 and franny lee got em both,then went o the swamp later that season and watched denis laws back heal,then my 1st european adventure was juventus away in 1976 got to go there with my dad who luckily got it as a paid work trip we lost 2-0 but amazing still,76 league cup final,both finals in 81,full members cup final 86 really thought we were gonna do it but ah well what a piss up,when we got relegated in 96 against liverpool still see lomas near the corner flag fookin about with the ball,obviously 99 wembley in the hilton with all the players after the game oh and mark halsey(thank you very much for the extra 5 minutes),last game at maine road against southampton very sad day like id lost part of my life,i could go on and on,ummm might write a biography
