I Was There

Millwall away when's we we're banned was an interesting away day, had to have eyes in the back of my head. Was only a bairn and was told to keep my mouth shut, watch the game and get ready to leave 10 minutes early. Thankfully my undercover operation was a success. Mission complete!

Far to recent.
I was at 'the Ballet On Ice' game. Anyone else?

Yup

I will raise you the FA Cup replay against Reading 0-7 after a 1-1 draw at home 67-68.
Any takers ?

I went to both matches.

I spent the whole of the replay at Reading sat on a wall at the back of the terraces talking to a local from Newbury. As the goals went in, he announced that he was really a Swindon fan and started cheering for City.

Been at loads mentioned on here...anyone else at OT around 1992 when we only got approx 500 tickets as the Stretford End being redone...i was there, back row of their Maine Stand...think we got the back 2 rows of the last couple of blocks next to where the away end is now.Brother q'd all night to get 2 tickets then we lost 2-1, think Quinn scored for us although might be wrong!
Also in the Stretford end with around 200 blues when Curle scored a pen in the 1-1 draw...too many blues so the police just kept us all together (we even clapped Coton into his net!)...Utd did nowt although a bit dodgy after the game!

Always remember Curle carrying a City fan back with him after he'd scored
White missed a sitter that night

Dont remember a lot about the game just loved that as an 18 yr old lad we took the piss in their end. Think the attendance was only about 35k, with 5 or 6k blues...how times have changed

Nope. More important than that.

Did we win 1-0 and we were back into division 1....since then?
Thats the one.
Also at Shrewsbury away in the cup. Think Matt Gray scored our goal .Lost 3-1. Sat next to Helen at the Reading away. That bloody Bell rang for 90 mins.

I was too young for the important Rotherham one but was at the Shrewsbury defeat. The motorway was thick with fog on the way home. It was a pretty shite day all in all but all those crap times made what we have just achieved all the more pleasurable now.

Had a ticket for a game at Millwall but it was cancelled due to international call ups! So ended up getting a refund.

Was at white hart lane when the game was called off with a waterlogged pitch, was just walking up to the ground as everyone was walking back to the station, assumed at that point was in trouble!

In the wrong end at Chesterfield when lee crookes scored a 35 yard screamer, remember walking to the ground watching the fighting, getting into the ground watching the fighting and again after our goal went in!

Still probably the most surreal game was on 09/11 away at notts county in the league cup. Was the weirdest atmosphere ever, drove home after game and sat up watching replays of the events in NYC until about 2am on NEWS24. Think we won but only after extra time if memories serves.

was at Notts County that night of 9/11 was the strangest of atmospheres was one of them nobody actually was interested in football we did win 4-2 AET remember Shuker scoring the 1st

Ok - who remembers the change of KO times due the 3 day working week?

I can recall going to midweek afternoon games at Maine Road then as the floodlights could not be used. I can't reme, mber what impact it had on attendance, although at least half the workforce would have been off by law. I was at University at the time

During one afternoon match there was a bomb scare. Some clown had phoned up stating that the IRA had planted a bomb. No-one took it seriously as the codewords were not given. We were asked to look under our seats and then the match went on.
