Ian Bishop & Trevor Morley on their "rumoured relationship"

Very interesting interview with Cheesey.
I wonder which former player who went on to manage City was..... Pearce? Hughes?

Brilliant - cheers for sharing Screamer lad!
Loved Bish and Trev, brought back so many happy memories this!
Where were we when we were shit........... watching fantastic players like this, giving us lifetime memories!!
Just one such memory was Bradford away - what a day and what a celebration

I've weighed in on the Steve Coppell discussion before to point that out. If you're tittle-tattling about this kind of stuff without knowing the facts you are part of their destruction.
I think football is horrible for rumours and gossip.
I’ve heard some outlandish stuff and some just horrific stuff. Then you get that spread in the pub or with your mates as you want to be seen as being on the know.

Then it spreads and before you know it it’s become gospel.

I still can’t believe in this day and age we still don’t have openly gay footballers come out as they are scared of the abuse etc.

Then we have experts on this country calling out uae or Qatar for there issues.Let’s sort this out here first. It’s actually a national disgrace we can’t have men being confident enough to come out as gay. Absolutely shocking.

The difference is in this country we would sing an non PC song at them from the stands not throw them off a tall building

In all honesty we don't have the best record for homophobia at City historically. From the events surrounding the Plymouth cup tie in 88 to the baiting of Elton Jon and John O'Shea it was not a club where gay people would feel welcome. Thankfully as a fan base we seem to have moved on with Canal St blues banners etc, I doubt many younger blues would even know what I'm referring to.

What’s the story with Plymouth if you don’t mind me asking.

This nonsense about Bish and Trev (and other examples, whether historic or current) shows why Bill Hicks was correct in one of his rants, words to the effect of 'Wherever or with whoever I choose to put my pecker or not is no other f**kers business but mine and theirs'.

I refer to the advice of Socrates on any gossip or rumour people may offer. Ask yourself is it (a) true and been tested to be true? (b) good information about the person concerned? and (c) useful, positive information about that person? Otherwise, as Socrates said, 'Why are you wasting my time with idle gossip?'.

And let's face it, Socrates knew a thing or two about footy as well as philosophy.. all those games for Brazil, Flamengo, Corinthians, Garforth Town etc.. and who could forget the flying header to score for the Greek philosophers team which defeated the German philosophers 1-0?!

Oh and thanks for the great memories Bish (especially the 5-1!) and Trev (especially the late equaliser at Bradford!).
