But ow I know it is unacceptable once middle aged I suppose at 44 I now need to burn my adidas and polo shirts and give my cagoule/parka and rains coat to the charity shop amd go buy some boating shoes fruit of the loom sweatshirts and tank tops

The man or the person messaging at Ian Brown's request is simply using the forum to express his opinion. We don't have to agree with it but he has a right to express his opinion, after all we claim to live in a democratic and free world with freedom of speech ect..

If the message resonates with you take it and do your own research to see if it's fit for your purpose of not leave it and walk away.

Does he really have someone tweeting at his request?

He's the lead singer in a rock band not the queen. I'd be very surprised if it's true and would lose more respect for him for that than his opinion on coronavirus.
 
Oh yeah I forgot and must admit the jacket/coat rules are a Mancunian trait.

I always wear a jacket normally of a size that is loose enough and is usually worn all weathers and whether indoors or not, and if it's a cagoul/parka buttoned up to the top

Though I rarely wear either, much more prefer a nice reefer/donkey jacket myself

Everyone on the old skool dance thread dresses like this when no one is looking.
