Spoke to a reliable person today who said the official line is "he is off sick" (air quotes required).
Chelsea game not the cause, but didn't help before he was "off sick"

Jack Dearden was commentating today.
He did OK but told us that AGUERO and Silva had come on 2nd half but failed to say who they had replaced for 10 minutes! And reiteration of the teams.
Also incorrectly said that Sunderland were beating Liverpool when it was the other way round.

Listen to Blue Tuesday tonight and note how much air time Wagg has compared to the individual guests? Also his stories have been told repeatedly over the years. Have heard him tell "funnies" about City but never one demeaning the Rags!!!

I agree, Wagg is a total nightmare. takes 10 minutes to say something and then keeps reminding us to call in on 0161 228 2255, blah blah blah. Also has an old fashioned view of what makes a good player. The phone in on the way back last night was shocking, consisted of just texts and calls slagging us off from so called City fans. The phone-ins have been like that for most of the last 20 years, people who "couldn't make it" to the match banging on about incidents they didn't see and slagging off whoever the latest hate figure is, currently Bravo.The phone in on the way back last night was shocking, consisted of just texts and calls slagging us off from so called City fans.
