Ibrahimovic

btw, one can always dream but there really isn't much point speculating, I really don't think we'd get him. At this point it looks like he'll stay. Even if he does go it won't be to us that's for sure.

Id love him, he is a quality player and it does my head in how often people say he is overrated.

Majority of those people don't watch him at all, the only time they watch him is when Inter knocked out of the champions league and they rate him based on that single game.

I've heard it thousands of times and when you ask them but he is soo consistance and keeps getting better and better every year even in the group stage in the champions league he always make the difference they just go back to that one or two games in the knock out stage and they rate him based on that game.

They ignore the fact that its not he's problem really but rather the team's problem for not having a creative playmaker to back him up. Look for example at Robinho with madrid when zidane was playing there, those two were magical in madrid. They connected well with each other and helped each other all the time but when zidane left Robinho and the whole team looked less effective, not that Robinho is not good (he's definately a class) but he had the job to create "alone" and score at the same time and it wasn't as easy as it used to be with zidane behind him.

Personaly i rate the player based on he's whole season rather than a single game or two. Because if you rate a player based on some games i wouldn't rate for example someone like cristiano ronaldo high specially after watching the last euros and he's awfull perforamnce there.....

I agree with you mate. But that said, there is no doubt his poor performances in the CL do not help him. When it comes to the big games like Liverpool last season and Rags this season he has failed to deliver (there has been other big games too) - If I recall correctly he did not score in the group stages this season too. Amazing talant but the fact is he needs to start producing in the latter stages of the CL, thats when world class players stand out...Also, I don't buy all this talk that Seria A is crap too. Its a great league but at the moment not as strong as the prem & La Liga... Lets not forget though, Italian teams dominated Europes for nearly 20 years not so long ago. It wil come good again.

He scored a goal and had 3 decisive assists in the group stage this season. But the thing that people (who don't follow him much) don't understand is that its really not he's problem that the team doesn't perform well in europe. Inter were always underachievers in europe (its not new) since the days that we had Ronaldo and the other players with him we still couldn't do well in the champions league but no one for example said that Ronaldo is overrated or not good enough, right!!

Again mate am not an Ibra fan and i don't really care if people rate him or not but i find it amazing that some people think that he's overrated or not good based on some games that they've seen for him when the whole team choked or couldn't perform.

Not sure you can compare Ronaldo's record. He scored plenty of goals in the champs league for Madrid and goals in world cup finals. Ibra has never scored in the knock out stages of the CL for both Juve and Inter. So, for me a great talent but he will always have his doubters until he performs at the highest level on a consistant basis.. He aint coming to us anyway !

Zlatan scores two today, making him single best goalscorer in Serie A this season.

Second goal today: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdD2EyWAYxE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdD2EyWAYxE</a>

Also featured in a BIG interview today in Aftonbladet.se, saying (amongst a lot of other things) that he might play anywhere next season... PLEASE GET HIM FFS!

No chance of him coming to us. Barca or Madrid perhaps...

would much rather have eto

he would struggle in the prem (just like schevchenko did at chelsea) and is far too lazy....

Zlatan is without doubt a truly international class striker.

I recall Juventus snapping him up 5 minutes before the transger window closed on 31st August, 2004. He the scored a goal on his debut in a 3 - 0 win away to Brescia a week later. He went on to score 16 goals in that season. The second season he managed only 14 as his role was adjusted as Capello made him more of a target man. As a result his assist rate increased significantly.

Since transferring to Internazionale after Juventus lost him (as well as Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Emerson and others) as a result of the Calciopoli scandal, he has continually started under both Mourinho and before that Mancini. He has scored freely for them and is recognised as the top striker in Serie A at present.

It is a accurate when people say he appears to have struggled against English opposition in the Champions League. Both Juve and Inter struggled generally and Ibrahimovic in particular, in failing to come to terms with the more aggressive defensive tactics used by Permier League defences.

He strikes me as the sort of player who would disappoint here in England. He would be more suited to La Liga - it's rumoured Perez may be willing to make a bid for him after he is installed (1/6/09) as President at Real. There is an increasing liklihood that Huntelaar (who probably played his last match for RM in their defeat at Osasuna tonight) is unhappy with life at the club and a new attack partner for Raul is badly needed. KJH will surely be placed on the market.

So, I'd say that ZI is a cracking player but would probably be more suited to a league where attackers have more time and space.

If that wasn't a foul on the CB then I have no fucking clue what is...

All goals from Zlatan 08/09 in chronological order (unfortunately none of his brilliant assists are included):

The Inter-Atalanta game. Game starts at 1.58. Precious father and son moment at 4.34 w. Maximilian and dad celebrating the titles right. Lol at Mourinho at 4.40 (looks like he's holding a bag of shit which just ahppens to be his kid):

196 centimeters and 90 kilos of pure dominance in Serie A. ;P

Rather unusual since he usually gets whistled for farting.

Karma maybe?

How would he ever come to terms with world class english defenders after scoring on such shit opposition as Spain or Italy or the mediocre bunch at Milan, Juve and so on? It's impossible I tell ya.

I'd rate him slightly lower than Bellamy, just above Vassell. ;P
