Let's see if our foreigners can handle an ashy volcanic night in Stoke.

If you bought it all online separately, you're stuffed if it goes wrong. And as noted, it's been excluded from travel insurance now.

When Santorini/Thera blew in ancient times it devastated the whole of the central Med especially Crete virtually wiping out the Minoan civilisationChancy Termites said:Wio Gumflapdinand said:The earths not going to blow up, volcanos erupt all the time and it doesn't cause a big deal, depends on many factors if it's going to disrupt air traffic
A large one could reduce farm yields for several years, pushing up food prices worldwide. This could cause starvation, wars and rioting leading to the deaths of tens of millions as we all compete for increasingly scarce resources. In the ensuing pandemonium it only takes one or two poorly maintained nuclear power stations to melt down and you're looking at a cataclysmic event, not just for humanity, but for all the earth's species.
Apart from that though, everything will be fine.

At least with me, it's only the flight over, one night's accommodation and the match ticket. About €300. Would be worse if it was a wek or so out in Spain/Cyprus/wherever.dronefromsector7g said:Make that double :-(jimharri said::-(Henkeman said:For those of you with holidays, you are covered by the EU package travel regulations as long as you bought flight and hotel together.
