maybe not iconic but jim melroses goal against notts county about 85 ive looked everywhere but i cant find any footage of it,I remember when it went in we all looked at each stunned as if to say did that really happen? then after about a minute we cheered anybody who was there will know what im going on about best goal ever at maine road imo.
I remember that goal. There was a silence of disbelief when hit the net - incredible goal. One of my all time favourites as well.

I

I would agree with every single one of those, except the Dzeko one. If I had to choose one of Dzeko's I'd go against QPR just before Aguero. Made every believe we could do it after being so impossibly low.

I'd have to disagree. A lot of us didn't believe. We just felt even more annoyed.

Lot of good shouts here, but I have to mention Colin's first back after injury, against QPR, February 1978. We knew it wasn't really the beginning of a new dawn — everyone could see the mobility had gone — but it's still important for what it represented about his iron will to come back, even briefly, from a dreadful injury.

And for all the wrong reasons, this...

No one mentions this thing of beauty

Yaya at at Wembley v the rags. This is the game where the tide turned in our favour and everyone else sat up and realised we were the real deal.
