drogba, torres, rooney, villa, tevez, olic, dzeko, benzema, van persie, anelka, pedro, pato, etto, d.milito, and dont give me this bs at them not being "strikers", they are all strikers/forwards and i consider them all as being better than higuain. if higuain was so good, why would real consider getting rid of him? they have plenty of money so they dont need money. simply they want the best and higuain isnt one of them.
higuain lacks pace, creativity and alot of time finish. higuain cant create anything himself if his life depended on it

Yep, Higuain is rubbish LOL He's been the best striker in La Liga this season.

You say Benzema is better....Real fans and Pellegrini would strongly disagree.

like i said earlier, than dont mean shit.
Daniel Guiza was top scorer in La liga right before he moved to Fenerbahce. when he got there, he barely managed to score 8 goals.
and again, if he is so good, why is real willing to sell him?

Why on earth to people keep mentioning Dzeko in the same breath as quality players?! Have you actually ever seen him play, or you just going off the fact that The Sun links him with big teams?! He's like the new Hunterlaar, an absolute myth created by the tabloids!

Dzeko's first touch is arguably worse than Santa Cruz's, who has the worst first touch of any 18m player in the history of the game. Dzeko will probably end up at Bayern where they love a big tall overrated donkey striker - Luca Toni and Mario Gomez spring to mind

if you read things it is said they want to cash on for there next galactico,we all know how real work by now surely and to belittle Higuain's achievements this season is nothing short of bewilderment on my part!

I think whoever thinks there are better players out there needs his head examined.

Name 5 strikers you'd rather have. If you get to 5 you are a liar. If you get to 5 that could actually be signed you should be sent to a mental institution.

Here's my best go at it. Drogba, Torres, Rooney. I quit. I don't think of Tevez as an out and out striker. That's it.
I love Tevez to bits, but you're right he isn't an out and out striker, it's actually quite hard to place him, I guess a deep forward! As he is more than an attacking midfielder.

he's a false 9

-- Mon May 10, 2010 5:22 pm --

you missed out Miroslav Klose (the only player to have scored five or more goals in consecutive World Cups.)
I'll give you the benefit of the donut though as he is under 6 Foot

The article's rationale for selling Higuain doesn't make much sense. Why would they sell such an effective striker to buy another striker?

Then again, this is the same team who buys Kaka and put him on the bench.

The main thing no one seems to have mentioned yet is that originally higuian was an atacking midfielder the only reason he ended up playing as a striker was cos off the injuries to raul and ruud van horseface its just because he proved to be great as a striker but the thing with madrid is they want the big names i.e. kaka, ronaldo(the real one) zidane, roberto carlos and so on.

Me personally i dont see him beeing sold and put it down to media speculation would be great tho.

ive all ready said in a few topics besides this one about higuian being an attacking forward and fits the bill of what mancini has said about finding players that can play different roles.

Don't know enough about him to have an opinion really. How's his character on-field? Is he a a hard worker, a team player?
