Personally, I'd start it with some reference to it being 3-1 and him having to leave early to get the train back to London, but it being ok because City will never, ever, eclipse the 5-0......
 
Or the score comes through at 3-1 with a minute to go and he says "What about injury time, we always score in injury time?" and he says "Err there were three goals in injury time boss" and he says "Ah good, who got them? Rooney?" to be replied "Errr Dzeko two and silva one". That could be the point he loses it, if it works.
