You are claiming that a physical phenomenon that can be detected in a number of ways is only called sound if a human detects it through their ear. That is a philosophical argument from 18th century based on a though experiment devised at a time when the physics of sound was not known.

I can measure sound in a number of ways, the scale commonly used is the decibel which is a measure of pressure change. Because sound is energy transmitted through a medium by pressure waves.
