I don't think Garry Cook was a big player in Hughes's sacking.

I think these decisions come from Abu Dhabi.

I think Mark Hughes was the biggest player in his own sacking. He was severely pissed off that we were canvassing other managers and had a furious showdown with Cook.

Interesting what-if. If he hadn't said anything, stayed on for the rest of the season and City had been let down by Mourinho, would he have still been here?
