well a lot of people are saying that javi martinez would be even better then DDR but he sure will cost a shit load of money.
When he's 4 years older maybe he will be like DDR now.

Daniele De Rossi.
Ah! Lol! I spent an hour cracking my brain, trying to figure out who that could be. Never occured to me it could be the guy who the thread was about. :)

No love for Moussa Sissoko? He seems very promising.

Lass is good but is more like a De Jong than a De Rossi. De Rossi is a complete footballer, I don't think there are any others out there for an affordable price at the moment. This is a man who filled in at centre-back for Roma against Juventus, went up the other end and scored, and was named man of the match.

He is actually more like Yaya, and defending wise he is even better. Yaya offensively is better than him but Lass is much better than NDJ & Barry offensively.

He is nothing like Yaya. More like your namesake...high work ethic , dodgy attitude and little loyalty.....not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Toure

Not sure Javi Martinez is an option. The rags inquired and got told 40m euros or they can forget it. Doubt we wanna spend that much at the moment.

Jack Rodwell??? young up and coming player so should accept a bit part role like Johnson filling in now and again and good cover too. could end up being Barrys replacement in a few years.

I do like Rodwell, did an excellent job marking Silva at the Etihad but his injury record is a ? and is what made Ferguson reluctant to buy him as they have been trailing him for years now.

He wont be playing every week for us though and we managed Bellamy well and already got more games out of Hargreaves than manU have for a good few years lol.

Hopefully Rodwell will get over being injury prone with age, he's still growing yet. think he would be a good buy for us as dont think he would cause trouble if he's not playing everyweek. dont think fergie can afford to gamble on players with there debt problems

Chelsea are ment to be looking at Rodwell too

Speculating and drawing up 'wish lists' are great but the Sunday spreadsheets (Telegraph, Independant etc) are claiming that the club are refusing/reluctant to splash any more green on players due to FFP - even with likely moves for Tevez, Nedum and Bridge!!

We will buy we need 2 players but think we will only get one

I don't know anymore... I mean, it's already the 15th and yet no official interest for any player. Maybe this will be a window with no activity besides a few leaving us. I guess there's no panic if that's the case.

Well the best 'statement of Intent' would be to go out and buy when your top of the League. Lets hope we can do some business if for nothing more than to push the players we have to realise that no one is indispensable!!

Watched Athletic Bibao game last night before Barca and Real, and see why some on here are very keen on Martinez and Muniain. Both look good players. Would like to see us pursue them both.

Another good shout. I wonder how good he could be with better players around him and he is versatile.

Agreed. Didn't Tolmie alude to the fact that there wont be anyone coming in with his recent post? Close the transfer forum up for the winter.
