There will, either something will go badly enough wrong while the Torys are in charge that they'll lose seats formerly thought to be 'safe' or another right of centre party will see the opportunity to attack their vote, splitting their support and allowing Labour as the only left of centre party and allowing them back into power.

haha
Makes me laugh too mate but that's the ticket they run on even if their actions aren't true to it.

It's a shame they're not 'left of centre' - we could do with a decent left wing party in this country...

The ramifications of this Scottish vote will be huge for this country.
Seeing as in 1945 and 1997 Labour won the majority of seats in England and Wales I think your a tad deluded here.

Twice in 69 years! Sorry but it will be almost impossible now. A good number of the Tories I know are hoping for a yes vote.

How do you work that one out mate as soon as people get pissed off with the tories again they will re elect Labour sure as night follows day. I didn't count all Labour victories Scotland wasn't required in 1966 or 2001 either and probably not in 2005,anyway having just worked in Scotland for the last 3 weeks my prediction is the No's hold sway.

There are still people spouting this nonsense? I thought I'd totally destroyed this myth on Bluemoon. Labour wins a majority of English seats pretty much every time it wins a majority, there are only two exceptions by my recollection. It won a majority of seats in England in 1997, 2001 and 2005.

2005 election results in England:
Labour - 286 seats
Tories - 194 seats
Lib Dems - 47 seats
IKHH - 1 seat
Respect - 1 seat

2001 election results in England:
Labour - 323 seats
Tories - 165 seats
Lib Dems - 40 seats
Independent - 1 seat

1997 election results in England:
Labour - 328 seats
Tories - 165 seats
Lib Dems - 34 seats
Independent - 1 seat
NLP - 1 seat

Fucking hell it's Mystic Meg;I bet you swept the dead pool with Robin Williams, can you give me two back to back victories at home to aim for,as I'm in the middle of booking a trip to see the family and would rather see two wins.
I thought you may have jumped ship to Legia Warsaw, they seem more your cup of tea.

Bring it on, 7/1 you can get on a yes vote I think. I was recently working with a Scottish crew 14 out of 15 were voting yes.
I wouldn't take a 1000/1,Salmond's dream is over & he knows it too.

Absolute and utter nonsense, but par for the course for this OP.
Just another wish fulfilment pipe dream that he'd like to see happen but clearly won't, like the return of national service, the birch, and an all-white Britain.
Scotland won't vote for independence anyway, and even if they did it wouldn't preclude a Labour government.
Keep moving folks, nothing to see here...

You're right - I should have said socialist government. Labour will struggle to win a sizeable majority ever again and they will have to shift to the right to do it, so it won't be Labour as the lefties want it.

One day they might even make the boundaries fair too, so that each constituency has roughly the same number of voters and the Conservatives will piss it every time.

Scottish independence would be a marvellous result for this country.
