I hate to say it but this the exact scenario that Liverpool went through when they finished outside of the top 4. We have an ageing midfield and wingers with no end product.

We need a massive rebuild in the midfield similar to what Liverpool did with Mac Allister/Szobozlai and Gravenberch and we need a versatile goal scoring attacked to ease the pressure on Haaland. Problem is everyone knows City are desperate so we are getting fleeced by the PL teams unless they have a release clause.

It's why we need to shop for non English players who are also playing outside the PL

It is one of the great mysteries of the universe, the collapse is sudden and epic , no point digging them out anymore , they are not trying to be rubbish , hopefully
