If the rot continues what happens ?

We have to sack walker, debruyne, gundo as captains.
Haaland, foden and dias should step up now. We have never seen a captain like walker. We never thought him as a good captain either. Yes he is arguably the best right back the premier league has ever seen but his legs are gone for few months now. He should be nowhere near our team.
We should never have bought back gundo. Last season we were not willing to give him his 2 years contact extension either so why buy him back for his second season ? Debruyne yes he is a club legend but is old and injury prone and has only about 7 month left in his contract (club is reluctant to offer him extension) has lost his mojo. He should have been sold this summer. Ederson has also been off as a squad member for quite a bit of time now. So its better if we replace him.
We fans knew since last 2 years squad strength has been depleting. Its due to the brilliance of pep we won last 2 league titles. Our team has won and grown old together. Yes its a bit late to rebuild now but we have to start this january and if possible (yes its very difficult) sell walker, debruyne, gundo.
Not buying into the ‘we should never have bought back Gundo’ he’d had a fantastic Euros and he was one of the best players in La Liga, creating more chances and covering more ground than any other player. It looked like a steal at the time and perfect as back up to our midfield.

He was signed as a squad player but unfortunately he’s had to be used more than we, or he I’d wager, assumed.

The revisionism of we should have never bought him now we know how it has panned out could be applied to any number of players.

So in this disastrous run, ignoring the win and draw, three results kinda normal fare (Liverpool, juve, villa) one a tight game which could have gone either way (Bournemouth) and then five matches where we totally fell apart. Too many for it to be anything other than mentality is shot. Please Pep try something else verses Everton. No top four this season as it stands.

Tottenham (a) meh played kids threw game

Bournemouth (a) tight game it happens

Sporting CP (a) out of sight 1st half the imploded. First shock as we just don’t do that.

Brighton (a) again out of sight then fell apart

Tottenham (h) capitulation. Horrible.

Feyenoord (h) great then capitulation. Again.

Liverpool (a) normal result.

Nottingham Forest (h) start of recovery. Oh hang on.

Crystal Palace (a) dogged ish but Arsenal made this result look what it was. Poor.

Juventus (a) bit like Liverpool game an expected result.

Manchester United (h) total shit show. No confidence. Capitulation.

Aston Villa (a) Liverpool/juve type game.

We could have bought someone younger rather than him is the idea. And also initially 2 years back we were just planning to give him only one more year contract extension. That means we were thinking he has only 1 year of his peak left. That thinking was right.
And also he should have stepped upa s one of the captains.
In fact I am dissapointed inour captains. Including debruyne and gundo.
Haaland and foedn should step up as captains now

I'll tell what has to happen, we have to get new fans. Read into that what you want.
What I read into that is that you think either those expressing concerns about poor results will stop attending, and there is bugger all evidence to support that, or you believe occasional fans and tourists will stop attending.
If we're still in the PL we will have tourists, so we only have to relace a few glory hunters.
Unless of course you mean we need to "get new fans" because of the stadium expansion, but that requirement was always going to be there; win, lose or draw.

Foden is struggling enough this season, he doesn’t need the extra burden of being captain.

That's exactly what it will end up being come the end of the season.
I firmly believe this as well, just look at the points at the moment a few wins and arsenal draw a couple youre third! Everyone bar Chelsea and Liverpool are losing points etc, Forest beat United lose to us yet they are 3rd, over Xmas we will see as games come quick and fast, I believe Saka might have a hamstring problem now, a few more injuries they might drop away. I’m not saying we will go on a 20 game unbeaten run but Pep may just accept now that the season has gone get 4th fuck off the CL (although I think that we won’t qualify for knockouts anyway) 1 game a week we should be ok.

6 titles in 7 years.
2 CL finals.
2 CL semi finals.
2 FA Cup Finals.
UEFA Super Cup.
FIFA Club World Cup

18 trophies since he arrived.

To be fair it had to cave in at some point. Just need to regroup next year.
And yet plenty of us could see this coming for quite some time with the poor dealings in recent transfer windows and a complacent over reliance on a small and ageing squad.

So why couldn't the club?
