If the rot continues what happens ?

The next three games will be very illustrative.

If we can’t scrap against proper mid/lower table fodder and get at least six points from the three fixtures then there’ll be no hiding from the predicament we’re in.
Everton and West Ham at home. Leicester and then Brentford away.

Can't see us winning anywhere away from home at the moment but you'd like to think the two home games are winnable.

7 points from the 4 games is doable.

Peps first season was nothing like this. Even the loss at Goodison we battered them and were the better team. Bravo was a horror show and the defence was old and struggling with the demands of a Pep system but we were great going forward and you could clearly see the roots of something great developing. It's why everyone gave it time to work because it was obvious good things would come of it.
Yeah we were still creating countless chances every game, we're creating fuck all now.

That's not a fair comparison Saka and particularly Salah has the freedom to run at defenders. Our wingers are up against a lower block with no room to work.
It's not a fair comparaison because our wingers aren't on the same planet as Salah, that's like comparing Haaland to Hojlund, they would do very well to get to Saka's level first.

We need those points because once the CL starts again we’ve got 6 or 7 league games where we could easily lose the lot right through to the middle of March.

Or rather will we lose them all unless we have a dramatic improvement on yesterday’s offering.

Eh? We're 4 points off the top four.
On our current form we are nowhere near top 4 material.
We should be more than capable of making top 4 if we can turn this slump around, but therein lies the rub.
We are bad by our own standards but we aren't as bad as the form suggests. Our confidence looks shattered and it's encouraging every team in the PL to have a go at us knowing they stand a decent chance of beating us. That's change the dynamics of matchdays for City.

We are going to actually have to start stuffing other teams before the fear factor returns. For that reason I think we will be fighting for top 4 right until the end.

I don't disagree with that. I'm just saying we don't need to go on an incredible run to make up 4 points on Forrest.
