If the rot continues what happens ?

Tell that to the owners , fans aren’t entitled the standards have just been raised and especially been raised by our owners. Khaldoon saying 5 in a row , Soriano saying he expects a trophy each season and for us to be the biggest brand /club in football. Expects us to challenge for the league each season

You can’t say we can not become entitled when the standards have been raised interviews are coming out from the people on the board. Expecting trophies. Those interviews which are seen by fans of the club. The fans are going to expect those standards if the top people are expecting those standards.

I don’t mind having a transitional season. I’ve seen worse seasons than this supporting city, But there will be a group of people not just fans but board members that feel entitled to win the league / trophy each season as those are their standards

From Soriano himself when he first came in

“I would say I want to win five trophies in the next five years," said Soriano.
"That may mean we win no trophies one year and two in another, but on average I want one trophy or title a year."

If the season stopped now and we won nout (not counting the charity shield) we're at 5 trophies in 3 years (counting the CWC, because it merits counting). Above the average with room to spare.

Yes that was the Up. After some seasons of downs. Can't look at things that short term, that's exactly his point.
The downs are not spending the profit and having the station we’re in now though

We took 4 points out of 6 in our last two games. Admittely we picked up two defensive injuries during Forest win and ended having to play two out of sorts players.

Feels like some senior players and Pep don't agree, in the last couple of weeks Silva , Dias and Gundo have all given interviews with their opinions on why the results aren't happening , each one dismissed by Pep in his post match presser . Smacks of some disharmony in the camp .

Are you joking? It’s hard to tell on here now lol
Lol. I hear you. No, I am not joking, mate. He looks burnt out. I want him to stay, absolutely, despite the wretched performances and iffy tactics, etc. He's the greatest manager in football history, IMHO, it is just that he has maybe had enough. Getting pumped by those reptiles on Sunday, on our own turf, could be too much for him. His legacy cannot be spoiled, absolutely not, he has won so much, so spectacularly. But, he is human.

Getting top 4 and winning the court case would be a good season. With the CWC prize money it’s probably the ideal season to drop out of the CL if the rot continues.

Personally I think we need four key players in January and the summer. The spine of this team moving into next season should be Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden and Haaland. I think we need a proper right back, creative midfielder, holding/box to box midfielder and a wide player. Without sounding spoilt I’m talking players with the ability to replace Gundogan, KDB and Walker long term.

Potentially also a new goalkeeper as well and let Ederson go to Saudi
I agree in the main, but not with Gvardiol. Watching him in that defence in the 7-0, for Leipzig, was concerning at the time when we were linked with him. One man does not make a defence, sure, but he looked lost. A bit like he does now. Dire again last night, absolutely atrocious.
