if we finish 7th...

I've been looking at the different views on Hughes on bluemoon for a while now and i'm just wondering, if we finish 7th will the hughes outers be happy to stay for the forseeable future or is it Hughes out no matter what?
imo 7th would show signs of a real step forward
top premier league finish since induction
consectutive top 10 finishes for the first time in the PL
qualifying for europe via our league position for the first time
and if you look at the top 6 teams you can't really argue with finishing below any of them at this stage in our development
(i know we haven't finished 7th yet)

I can see a really good team taking shape here and i have faith in MH doing it. Lets be honest even if we get 7th (which i doubt now) will we have a big enough depth of quality within our squad ?????? 8th could be a blessing in disguise. ...........chew on that my blue brothers xxx

personally speaking the major issue is that he hasnt delivered when it mattered. if he did this time, i'd certainly give him credit for it, even if it wouldnt affect my other concerns.

not holding out that much hope though tbh.... the odds on the tottenham game aren't great.

we all but need to win. a draw may suffice but we would be relying on at least two marginal games on the final day of the season to go our way. a loss would mean we needed a honest-to-god miracle.

atm the odds seem to be hovering around 1.8 for a tottenham win, 3.5 for a draw, and 4 for a city win.

i would love to be proven wrong :)

We have virtually unlimited funds. Whether or not we finish 7th (which all logic says is highly unlikely) we have the whole summer to put together a dream squad to meet the demands of next season. Surely not even MCFC could go into next season without enough players of the necessary quality?

I take your point,but it isnt always that easy to accuire the quality players needed especially as we cant offer champions league footy.How many are you expecting in the summer ? my guess would be about 5/6 with just as many leaving.
