if we finished 5th...

remember it took Fergie 3+ years to win something. Rarely does a manager come in and win something the first year.

Poor example. "Fergie" *clears throat* didn't have the resources that Mancini has and didn't have the spine of the team that Mancini had.

Hart
Kompany
De Jong
Tevez

People are also comparing the squad to Tottenham but their squad isn't full of winners. Our boys have won things.

Rags. Arsenal and now chelsea all have better squads as it stands. Few would disagree with this.

Dd you say you know football but the shit you constantly spout completely dispells this.
Which other united players get into our 11 then?

van der Sar > Hart (at the moment!)
Rafael > Richards/Boateng
Vidic > Kolo
Evra > Kolorov
Fletcher/Scholes/Carrick/Anderson > Barry/Milner
Giggs/Nani/Valencia/Park > AJ/SWP
Rooney/Berbatov > Dzeko (at the moment!)
Hernandez/Owen > Jo

You could even say that because Kompany doesn't have a partner you'd choose Ferdinand to play with Vidic ahead of him because of the partnership they have forged.

Plus every single one of their players does everything, even all the little things like closing down and marking, 100% bang on pretty much every week. Even if their passing isn't quite up to scratch or that they don't create that many chances, they still do everything else right. It's why they haven't lost a game yet.

We're not close to having a better squad than United yet. Given, Ginzalez, Neilsen, Taylor; Bridge, Cunningham, Vidal, Onuoha, Logan; Ibrahim, Vieira, Wright-Phillips; Bellamy, Caicedo, Jo, Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Nimely.... none of these players would be on United's playing list. In fact, neither would Kolo, Lescott, Barry or Milner!

Trafford are top of the league for a reason.

The bit I've quoted is obviously down to the management and coaching of the players. The team spirit that has been created. It's something to look at instead of relying on a cheque book.

There's no doubt he would and should be sacked, none at all.

The interesting and very possibly more relevant question is if he finishes 3rd or 4th and Jose is available , what will the sheikh do?

I love these curve balls. Mancini won the league three times on the bounce with Inter, yet they still sacked him.

Thats because...."dis iza football"

many on here could do with remembering that.

The same thing happens in Spain with regards to being fired after lifting the title.

Mancini was given the first, had less opposition for the second and won the third. His record in Europe was the official reason for his departure.

Inters loss could be our gain.

Correct! And there's another thread on here that mentions that our players couldn't care less about the club really. On the whole any of our players would be just as happy playing for United Arsenal Chelsea Spurs or any other top team in Europe. At United I'd bet a high percentage wouldn't leave there and they have fans of that club playing for them.

Oops , I was posting pissed last night. Apologies to all for going over the top

lol.

Was just catching up on the thread and thinking you must have been pissed last night, we've all done it.
I had a mitchelin starred meal, fine wines, a nice shag with the mrs and a night in a beautiful hotel without the kids. When the mrs drifted off into a blissful sleep I got on my iPhone and started ranting on here.

Deeply tragic

???

Okay they didn't have a good keeper in Leighton, butthey had:
McGrath
Robson
Hughes
...as their spine. And had other good players around their team.

Do we have the best squad in the Prem = Yes

Do we have the best squad mentality in the Prem = No

Whilst the above stays No we'll be nowhere near the title......................
