Good idea, however I think that shirt should always be remembered as MVF's.

Originally Lyon retired their number 17 shirt in remembrance of Foe, but they brought it out of retirement to let a player called Jean Makoun wear it who is from Cameroon.

But I think we should always keep our number 23 retired.

Well rumour has it Barcelona have bid for David Villa so Eto's departure could be imminent ....... but i'm just not sure about this guy , good player yeah , but he's after a big wage , and he does appear to have a bit of an ego ..... is he the type to think he's bigger than the club and demand a certain shirt number?

Same with Maldini's number 3 for Milan. That is retired and will only be used again if his son plays for them.
