11. but all that said he has achieved good things for this club and the party line is that you must not even question his future because you will be called a RAG. this hurst me to say but they are where they are because they do not and will put up with crap. if they buy shit players guess what they get rid ASAP. if Fergie doesn't have a team good enough to chanllenge he will talk them up and make them believe they are good enough and at least put up a fight until the end. I've argued that he'll keep us in the top 3 and get us domestic cups but I don't think he can take us forward to European success (QF of the CL as a minimum) which I believe our owners see as a requisite for the future. I've also argued that he's clearly not a bad manager and we shouldn't be thinking about replacing him until we have someone who we believe can take us forward in line with where the owner and his advisers think we ought to be going. I've set out why I think Mourinho (if he'll even come or ADUG want him) might be a risk but also why he might be what we actually need in the short term.
And while you're ploughing through my posts, look through your own and see if you can find one that actually makes an insightful contribution to a football thread.
