What with everyone saying that Bale isn't a left winger?
Just because he hasn't been playing there for the last few months doesn't mean he can't play there anymore.
Milner has been playing exclusively as a winger for the last couple of months, can he no longer play in central midfield?
Garcia played a couple of games in CB, can he no longer play as a defensive midfielder?
No im saying since he became an amazing player he has done exactly what Ronaldo did and gave the wing up. Put Bale back on the wing and he becomes half the player he currently is. If you want to buy a winger buy an out and out winger, dont buy a world class roaming midfielder and stick him to one side of the pitch. Might as well just burn the £50 million it would cost

Yes but Bale is still a free roaming attacking midfielder now. He may start on the left but Boris Johnson is more a left winger than him now

Typical Levy's business tactics: select a player and make him as the centre of the team; use the media to hype him up as a fantastic player; link him with the biggest, richest clubs and constantly feed the public with the news; raise the fee as high as possible and sell him to the highest bidder.

But, he must be mindful now that Modric is a flop and there has been criticism of his style of business in Spain, including Perez.

In fairness Bale has been the best player at spurs for 2 seasons now and Modric is a good player who hasn't really been given a chance at Madrid

Modric has been given a plenty of chances. No excuse. He may be a wonderful player, but he just does not fit in in La Liga and RM.
Mou has blamed Spurs for Modric being a flop. He says that Levy demanded too high transfer fees for him. If it makes sense.

Im not sure 14 starts in all competitions is exactly plenty of chances. Also im not sure how Levy can be blamed for Modric not fitting in to La Liga or RM that is for the player and the club to know not him. Levy is a **** but Modric struggling is hardly his fault just like its not his fault that Ozil is a much better player in his posistion

Oh come on, Levy should have known of course that Modric would struggle in Spain. It was not his concern if he succeeded or totally failed, after all.

14 games are enough to judge if he is a flop or not. After all, he is a 35 mil player, not a 3mil squad player.

Even if Levy did know as you say its not his concern nor would it be any manager or chairman's concern if they succeed or fail, they will take the money and use it or in Levy's case smuggle it away somewhere.

So in 14 games you think it can be decided if someone has failed or not. He has been shit but with a run im sure he could be better. By your standing half out current first team would of been classed flops by you

Definitely Bale, just that one level down from messi and Ronaldo.
I don't think he's that good yet. Needs to improve is all round game.

Farfan or Di Maria We should have got Farfan in the summer as a free agent rather than Sinclair he's got great crossing ability, strong and Champions league Experience. Di Maria is a realistic target rumor is Real Madrid are looking to offload him and offering him around we were linked with him before he went to Madrid.

Agreed! I've bigged up Farfan a lot on here, it's amazing that no one snapped him up on a Bosman before Schalke convinced him to sign a new deal. An excellent winger who is always good for about 10 assists per season, probably more at a top club with better strike options. 3 assists and 1 goal in 5 CL starts this season too. Di Maria is better but for value Farfan on a free would have been one of the bargains of the decade.

Sad thing is too many people place importance on Premier League experience as if the player makes in the premier league then he's good look at Cazorla was great at Villareal & Malaga but once he joins Arsenal now he's a top player. Aturo Vidal another case was great for Bayer Leverkusen, Munich went in hard for him only the local rivalry stopped the move but once he joins Juventus in a poorer quality league he's world class. Sometimes I think we over focus on big names when it comes to transfers. Our first choice back 4 is probably the best case why we shouldn't when they first joined none of them were big names but now the best defensive record in the league for two seasons and under 40m combined.
